A Victorian Sterling silver and glass butter dish (Sold)

A superb Antique Sterling silver and glass butter dish which is elaborate and eye catching in design. The pierced circular base has an attractive shell and bead border and a deep pierced body to hold the glass dish. This butter dish has a detachable pierced silver lid with a cow in a lying down position for a finial. Each piece has a matching hallmark and the attractive light blue liner has been sympathetically replaced at some stage in keeping with the style.
