An Antique pair of novelty salts (Sold)

A pair of novelty Victorian Sterling silver salts each depicting Punch. These unusual and highly collectible items are showing Punch sat on his bottom on a cast circular base of foliage and holding his hands in the air to support the round bowl for the salt. Each bowl is plain with some pattern detailing and there is a simple row of bead decoration around the edge. The interior has also been nicely gilded. These salts have been well designed and would look perfect with other unusual items in a collection. The hallmarks are clear but the Maker’s mark is rubbed.
