Description
A set of twelve Antique Edwardian Sterling silver and mother of pearl dessert knives and forks which have silver blades with pretty flower and leaf detailing and plain mother of pearl handles which are still in excellent condition. This silver set has parallel shaped knife blades. forks with four tines and each piece fits neatly in an attractive inlaid wooden box. This set is dated for 1901 by Thomas Levesley although seven forks are dated for 1898 but also by Thomas Levesley. The brass escutcheon around the lock on the wooden box is missing but apart from that everything is in excellent condition. The length of each knife is 20.2 cms and the length of each fork 15.8 cms.
