Antique Edwardian Sterling silver asparagus set (Sold)

An Antique Edwardian Sterling silver asparagus set consisting of a pair of silver asparagus tongs and a set of twelve silver asparagus holders which have been fitted neatly in their original box. There is pretty engraved detailing on each of the silver holders and also on the handle of the asparagus tongs. The piercing on the blades of the asparagus tongs are particularly fine and detailed and the spring mechanism is still in perfect working order. It is unusual to find a complete silver set in such excellent condition and this set would be ideal to use. The length of the asparagus tongs is 23.8 cms and the length of each holder is 10.7 cms.
