Description

An Antique George V Sterling silver and cut glass claret jug which has a plain silver mount, a flat hinged lid, a good pouring spout and an angular shaped handle which is comfortable to hold. The hobnail cutting to the bulbous shaped glass body is particularly fine and attractive and the overall condition is excellent. This silver and glass claret jug would hold a full bottle of wine, would be perfect to use on the dining table and would make a desirable addition to a collection. It stands at 18.80 cms high and measures 12.50 cms from the handle to the spout.
