Antique George V Sterling Silver and Glass Claret Jug(sold)

An Antique George V Sterling silver claret jug which has a tall glass body with attractive hobnail cutting, a plain silver mount with a hinged lid, a simple thumb piece and a good pouring spout.  The nicely shaped handle is particularly appealing with pretty patterned detailing and completes the overall design of this fine claret jug.  It would make a useful addition to a collection and would be practical to use on the table.  It will hold a litre of wine.
