Antique George V Sterling Silver Bread Basket/Dish – 1927

An Antique George V Sterling silver bread basket/dish which has an oval shaped body with a wavy edged top rim, pierced decoration to the body and resting on a flat base. There is a butterfly motif at either end of the body which is a rather nice feature of this bread basket/dish. It would look decorative on the table and would be practical to use. The hallmark is clear but the maker’s mark has been rubbed over the years. It weighs 10.9 troy ounces (339 grams) and remains in excellent condition.
