An Antique George V Sterling silver cutlery set which has been made in the Old English design for twelve persons and consists of 123 pieces in total. This original set by Frank Cobb is made up of:
12 x table knives measuring 24.7 cms long
12 x dessert knives measuring 22.1 cms long
12 x table forks measuring 19.4 cms long
12 x dessert forks measuring 17.00 cms long
12 x soup spoons measuring 19.4 cms long
12 x dessert spoons measuring 17.8 cms long
12 x tea spoons measuring 13.2 cms long
6 x coffee spoons measuring 12.7 cms long
6 x table/serving spoons measuring 20.6 cms long
12 x Mother of pearl fruit knives measuring 17.8 cms long
12 x Mother of pearl fruit forks measuring 14.6 cms long
2 X sauce ladles measuring 17.00 cms long
1 x soup ladle measuring 29.00 cms long
This cutlery set has been well cared for over the years and would be perfect to use. All the pieces are dated for 1924 except the soup spoons which are dated for 1925. The silver handled knives have been sympathetically matched in the Old English style with stainless steel blades. It is an added bonus that there is a wonderful set of Mother of pearl fruit knives and forks which completes the package. The total weight of this set is 143 troy ounces excluding the table and dessert knives and also the fruit knives and forks.
