An Antique George VI Sterling silver cutlery set which has been designed for twelve persons in the Chippendale style and fits neatly in an oak canteen box. It consists of :

12 x table knives : 24.5 cms (9.6″) in length.
12 x dessert knives : 20.7 cms (8.1″) in length.
12 x table forks : 20.6 cms (8.1″) in length.
12 x dessert forks : 17.8 cms (7″) in length.
12 x dessert spoons : 18 cms (7.1″) in length.
12 x soup spoons : 20 cms (7.9″) in length.
6 x table/serving spoons : 20.8 cms (8.2″) in length.
6 x teaspoons : 13 cms (5.1″) in length.
6 x egg spoons : 12.1 cms (4.1″) in length.
2 x sauce ladle : 18.6 cms (7.3″) in length.
1 x sugar tongs : 9.7 cms (3.8″) in length.

This plain and stylish silver cutlery set has been well cared for over the years and remains in excellent condition. It would grace any dining table and would be perfect to use. There are 98 pieces in total including a five piece carving set and it sits comfortably in a fitted canteen box designed to keep the cutlery neat and secure. It is wonderful to find a complete set which still includes the original knives. The set weighs 118.3 troy ounces (3,680 grams) without the box and knives.
