Antique George VI Sterling silver dessert set (Sold)

An impressive George VI Sterling silver and glass dessert set which consists of a large circular bowl and six dishes. Each piece rests on a raised pedestal foot and has plain frosted glass liners which makes the set both decorative and practical. The large serving bowl has a wavy edged rim with attractive pierced decoration to the body depicting leaves and swirls. Each of the six dishes has the same pierced decoration to the body. a wavy edged rim and plain side handle which makes them easier to hold. The height of the bowl is 11.8 cms and the diameter is 23.9 cms. The height of each dish is 8.7 cms and the diameter of each dish is 12.2 cms.
