Antique George VI Sterling silver pepper grinder(sold)

An Antique George VI Sterling silver pepper grinder which has a plain waisted shaped body and rests on a plain circular base.  By unscrewing the finial it is possible to add the peppercorns and there is a Peugeot movement at the base to grind the pepper. The grinding mechanism is activated by rotating the lid. This appealing silver pepper grinder would be perfect to use on the table, remains in excellent working order and condition and would make an acceptable gift. It stands at 9.20 cms in height and has a diameter of 4.90 cms.
