Description
An Antique Victorian Sterling silver and cut glass butter dish which is heart shape in design with patterned detailing around the edges, a deep recess to house the cut glass liner, a handle at the end for ease of carrying and resting on a flat base. The detailing on the cut glass liner is particularly fine and appealing and this butter dish is both practical and decorative. The butter knife, which is a perfect match, was hallmarked in Sheffield for 1896 by Henry Wigfull. The butter dish weighs 6.2 troy ounces (193 grams) without the glass liner.
