Description

An Antique Victorian Sterling silver and glass claret jug which has a tall etched glass body designed with birds, vines and fruit and resting on a round flat base. There is an ornate silver mount decorated with fruit and leaf detailing, a good pouring spout with a Bacchus head motif and an equally ornate silver lid with an attractive finial on the top. The elaborate bark finished handle has also been designed with fruit, vines and leaves and completes the overall style of this wonderful silver and glass claret jug. This is a claret jug to keep for a collection, would look eye catching when displayed and would be perfect to use. It stands at 27.00 cms. high, measures 14.50 cms from handle to spout and the diameter of the base is 13.20 cms.
