Description

An Antique Victorian Sterling silver and glass butter dish which has an octagonal shaped base with pierced detailing around the edges, a silver lid of the same shape and design as the base and a removable cow finial that sits neatly on the lid. The glass dish, which fits comfortably on top of the base, has been sympathetically renewed over time in keeping with the original design. This dish could be used for cream or sauce as well as butter. It weighs 9 troy ounces (280 grams) without the glass dish and remains in excellent condition.
