Description

An Antique Victorian Sterling silver and glass butter dish which is heart shape in design with patterned detailing around the edges, a deep recess to house the glass dish and a handle at the end for ease of carrying. The design of the glass dish is particularly fine and attractive and this butter dish remains in excellent condition. The replacement butter knife, which is a perfect match for the dish, was hallmarked in Sheffield for 1959 by Cooper Brothers. The dish weighs 6.4 troy ounces (200 grams) without the glass liner.
