Description

An Antique Victorian Sterling silver and glass claret jug which has a tall bulbous shaped cut glass body, a nicely engraved silver mount and a good pouring spout with a Bacchus head motif. The hinged silver lid has an attractive pierced thumb piece and there is a good sized handle with a strap work feature around the body to give extra support. This fine silver claret jug would make a desirable addition to a collection, would be perfect to use and would look eye catching when displayed. It would hold a litre of wine comfortably.
