An Antique Victorian Sterling silver and glass claret jug which has a tall etched glass body decorated with birds, vines and fruit and resting on a flat base.  There is an ornate silver mount decorated with fruit and leaf detailing, a good pouring spout with a Bacchus head motif  and an equally ornate hinged lid with an attractive finial on the top.  The elaborate bark finished handle has also been designed with fruit, vines and leaves and completes the overall style of this wonderful silver and glass claret jug.  This is one to keep for a collection and is both practical and eye catching.
