Antique Victorian Sterling silver and glass claret jug (Sold)

An Antique Victorian Sterling silver and glass claret jug which has wonderful cutting to the body, a plain mount with a hinged lid and a plain shaped handle and resting on a detailed glass foot. This elegant oval shaped claret jug would be perfect to use and would hold 90 cl of liquid. There is an initial “C” on one side of the mount which quite easily could refer to Claret!
