An Antique Victorian Sterling silver and glass claret jug which has a large ovoid shaped body with attractive cut glass detailing to the body and resting on a circular star cut glass foot. The silver top is particularly appealing with ornate decoration to the mount. hinged lid and handle. There is a silver collar around the foot which helps to keep the handle tightly fitted and secure to the glass body and an attractive twist finial on top of the lid to complete the design. This claret jug has been made to a high standard. would be perfect to use and would look decorative on the table. It will hold 1.25 litres of wine.
