Antique Victorian Sterling silver and glass claret jug (Sold)

An Antique Victorian Sterling silver and glass claret jug which has a tall ovoid shaped body with attractive cut glass decoration and resting on a slightly raised pedestal foot. The silver mount is particularly appealing and decorative as is the hinged lid and finial. There is a silver band mid- way across the body which is a lovely feature and the handle is also decorative and comfortable to hold. The edge of the glass pedestal foot has also been silver mounted which completes the overall design of this claret jug. This claret jug is eye catching and would be practical to use and would grace any dining room. It will hold 1.1 litres of liquid.
