Description
A pair of Antique Victorian Sterling silver and glass claret jugs which have particularly attractive etched glass bodies depicting flowers. leaves and butterflies. They each have bulbous star cut bases and each claret jug holds one litre of liquid. The silver mounts are also very attractive with leaf and pattern detailing with a decorative hinged lid. pretty finial and plain shaped handle. The height of one jug is very slightly taller than the other and although the maker’s marks are the same. one jug is dated for 1874 and the other is dated for 1875. The jugs are in excellent condition and would look splendid displayed and used.
