Description
An Antique Victorian Sterling silver cruet stand which is rectangular shape in design with an ornate pierced gallery depicting scenes of leopards, grapes and vines. It has a decorative central handle for carrying purposes and rests on four claw feet with flower and leaf detailing. The six cut glass bottles fit neatly within a silver gallery and three of the bottles have glass stoppers and three have ornate silver tops with hallmarks corresponding to the marks on the base. This unusual six bottled cruet stand following the “Cellini” design would look appealing on the table and would be practical to use. On one side of the stand there is a cartouche of intertwined initials and on the other side there is a head motif.
