Antique Victorian Sterling silver and glass suite of dishes (Sold)

An Antique suite of three Sterling silver dishes consisting of a large oval central dish and two smaller round dishes of equal size. The central dish has an elaborate frieze depicting lions. flowers. bows and swags. It has eight leg supports each with lion claw feet which rest on a plain base with ball supports. There is an attractive artichoke finial with leaf decoration which sits on top of the base and completes the design of this important piece. The two smaller dishes have the same detailed frieze as the main dish and they each have six leg supports with lion claw feet. There are three attractively cut glass dishes which fit neatly on top of the stands. The height of the central dish is 26 cms and the length of the dish is 31 cms. The height of each of the smaller dishes is 10.5 cms and the diameter is 19.3 cms. The two smaller round glass dishes have been sympathetically replaced in the original style and this suite would look eye catching when displayed on the table.
