Antique Victorian Sterling silver asparagus/serving tongs(sold)

A fine pair of Antique Victorian Sterling silver asparagus/serving tongs which have been designed in the fiddle and shell pattern with attractive pierced blades designed to hold the food comfortably and long plain handles with shell detailing at the ends.  The spring tension is still in perfect working order and these tongs would be ideal to serve a variety of food besides asparagus.  They would make a useful addition to a collection and would help to complete a George Adams fiddle and shell canteen.  They measure 26.00 cms in length and weigh 6.40 troy ounces (196 grams).
