Antique Victorian Sterling silver asparagus tongs

A fine pair of Antique Victorian Sterling silver asparagus tongs which have been designed in the fiddle and shell pattern with attractive pierced blades designed to hold the food comfortably and long plain handles with shell motifs at the ends.  The spring tension is still in excellent working order and these tongs would be perfect for serving a variety of food besides asparagus. They would make a useful addition to a collection and would help complete a George Adams fiddle and shell canteen.  They are 26.00 cms in length.
