An Antique Victorian Sterling silver bowl which is circular is shape with a deep body, gadroon decoration around the top rim, a wonderful frieze depicting heads of leopards together with bows, urns and swags and resting on a round pedestal foot.  The lower half of the body has been designed with attractive leaf decoration and there are two side handles with leopards’ heads and ring attachments.  This silver bowl has been made to the highest standard both in quality and workmanship and would make a unique table feature. On the base of the bowl it states,” Elkington & Co Ltd silversmiths to the Queen”. This bowl would be ideal to use as a wine cooler.  It stands at 21.00 cms high, has a diameter of 27.00 cms and weighs 71.50 troy ounces (2223 grams).
