An Antique Victorian Sterling silver cutlery set which has been designed in the fiddle pattern style and fits neatly in an oak canteen box. This silver cutlery set has been made for twelve persons and has 87 pieces in total and consists of:
12 x table knives measuring 24.80 cms in length
12 x dessert knives measuring 22.20 cms in length
12 x table forks measuring 20.80 cms in length
12 x dessert forks measuring 17.20 cms in length
12 x table spoons measuring 22.60 cms in length
12 x dessert spoons measuring 18.20 cms in length
12 x teaspoons measuring 14.60 cms in length
2 x sauce ladles measuring 18.20 cms in length
1 x basting spoon measuring 30.40 cms in length
This set has been made to an extremely high standard. as one would expect from George Adams and it weighs 113 troy ounces in total excluding the knives. The cutlery ranges in dates from 1844 to 1875 and the new silver knives have been designed to fit in perfectly with the cutlery. Although the oak canteen box is not original to this set. it has been restored and refitted to house the cutlery perfectly and the box still retains all the original brass features. This silver cutlery set would grace any dining table and would be a pleasure to use.
