Description
An Antique Victorian Sterling silver cutlery set which has been made in the Fiddle pattern design for twelve persons and has 87 pieces in total and weighs 110 troy ounces excluding the knives. This plain silver set has been made to a high standard. as one would expect from George Adams. and consists of:
12 x table knives measuring 24.80 cms in length
12 x dessert knives measuring 22.20 cms in length
12 x table forks measuring 20.40 cms in length
12 x dessert forks measuring 17.20 cms in length
12 x table spoons measuring 22.30 cms in length
12 x dessert spoons measuring 18.20 cms in length
12 x teaspoons measuring 14.30 cms in length
2 x sauce ladles measuring 18.20 cms in length
1 x basting spoon measuring 30.40 cms in length
Each piece is hallmarked in London by George Adams and ranges in dates from 1848 to 1877. The replacement knives have silver handles and stainless steel blades and match the Fiddle pattern cutlery perfectly. There are cloth wraps to keep this set neat and tidy which are useful for storage. The quality is excellent and this set would look elegant when displayed on the dining table.
