Description

An Antique Victorian Sterling silver locking tea caddy which has a square bombe shaped body, a hinged lid with a fluted finial on the top and resting on four decorative legs. The decoration on the body is extremely elaborate and attractive depicting flowers, leaves and swirls and there is a plain vacant cartouche on each side of the body. The locking mechanism is still in good working order and the overall condition is excellent. This silver tea caddy would make a useful addition to a collection and would be perfect to use. It stands at 12.00 cms (4.7″) high and is 9.60 cms (3.8″) square. It weighs 13.10 troy ounces (409 grams).
