Antique Victorian Sterling silver meat platter/serving dish

Hallmarked in London for 1863 by Robert Garrard.

Sterling Silver.

An Antique Victorian Sterling silver meat platter/serving dish which is oval shape in design with a plain body, gadroon decoration around the border and resting on a flat base.  This silver meat platter has been made to a very high standard, as one would expect from Garrards, and has been well cared for over the years.  There are some slight knife marks on the body, which are normal and in keeping with natural use over the years, and there is a crest on one side of the body which adds to the history of this silver meat platter.  It would make an ideal addition to a collection and would be practical to use on the table.  It weighs 43.00 troy ounces (1337 grams).

Complimentary postage is included within the price.
