Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Meat Platter/Serving Dish(sold).

An Antique Victorian Sterling silver meat platter/serving dish which is oval shape in design with a plain body, gadroon decoration around the border and resting on a flat base. This silver meat platter has been made to the highest standard, as one would expect from Garrards, and has been well cared for over the years. It remains in excellent condition, although there are some slight knife marks on the body in keeping with natural use over time. There is also a crest at the top of the body which adds to the history of this fine piece. It would make an ideal addition to a collection and would be practical to use. It weighs 43 troy ounces (1,337 grams).
