Antique Victorian Sterling silver sugar basin
Hallmarked in London for 1849 by Barnard Brothers.
An Antique Victorian Sterling silver sugar basin which is octagonal shape in design with a pretty body depicting flowers. leaves and swirls and resting a slightly raised pedestal foot. There are two side handles which also have some detailing and the interior has been nicely gilded. This decorative bowl would also be ideal to use for flowers or chocolates although it was originally made for sugar.
