An Antique Victorian Sterling silver teapot which has an oval shaped body with curved edges, nicely patterned decoration to the body and resting on a flat base. It has a flush fitting hinged lid, a good pouring spout and a wooden handle which is comfortable to hold. There is a crest on one side of the body and a vacant cartouche on the other side. It weighs 15.8 troy ounces (492 grams) and will hold 700 ml of tea.
