Antique Victorian Sterling silver vesta /whistle (Sold)

An Antique Victorian Sterling silver whistle/vesta case which has an attractive chased body with a hinged lid at one end to house the matches. a grille on the side to strike the matches and a whistle at the other end which can be blown. There are initials and dates on the body which are original to the vesta and in general this combination vesta/whistle would make an important addition to a collection.
