Antique Victorian Sterling silver wine ewer/jug

Hallmarked in London for 1861 by Henry Wilkinson.

Sterling Silver.

An Antique Victorian Sterling silver wine ewer/jug which has a tall bulbous shaped body, a hinged lid with a pretty finial and resting on a circular raised pedestal foot. The body of this silver wine ewer has been highly decorated with flowers, leaves and fruit and there is a head motif just below the base of the handle.  There is so much detail in the decoration on the body of this silver wine ewer that it would look eye catching when displayed. It would be practical to use and would make a useful addition to a wine ewer collection. The inside of the neck and lid have been nicely gilded and there is a crest on one side of the body.  It will hold 1.5 litres of liquid.

Worldwide shipping is included within the price of this silver wine ewer/jug.
