Antique William IV Sterling silver teaset
Hallmarked in London for 1836-1838 by Barnard Brothers.
An Antique William IV Sterling silver three piece teaset which consists of a teapot, cream jug and sugar basin. The teapot has a plain bulbous shaped body with a hinged lid with a pretty flower finial and resting on four decorative feet. The cream jug and sugar basin have the same plain design with decorative feet and the interiors have been nicely gilded. This silver teaset would look decorative on the table and would be perfect to use. The teapot is dated for 1838 and the cream and sugar are dated for 1836 but each piece has been made by the same maker. The teapot stands at 16.3 cms high, the cream jug stands at 12.00 cms high and the sugar basin stands at 11.2 cms high.
