Description

An Antique William IV Sterling silver three piece tea set which consists of a teapot, cream jug and sugar basin. The large plain teapot has a lovely rounded shaped body with a silver handle, a hinged lid with a pretty flower finial on the top and resting on four decorative feet.  The cream jug and sugar basin are also plain with the same shaped bodies with silver handles and decorative feet in keeping with the design of the teapot. The interiors of the sugar basin and cream jug have also been nicely gilded. This silver tea set would look decorative when displayed and would be practical to use. The cream jug and sugar basin are dated for 1836 and the teapot is dated for 1838 but all by the Barnard Brothers.  The teapot stands at 16.30 cms tall, the length from the handle to the spout is 28.50 cms and the diameter of the top is 18.00 cms. The cream jug is 12.00 cms tall and the sugar basin is 11.20 cms tall. The total weight is 45.00 troy ounces (1400 grams).
