Description

An Antique Edwardian Sterling silver jewellery box which is rectangular in shape with a plain body, a hinged lid with stylish hammered effect detailing, a vacant cartouche in the centre and resting on four decorative claw feet. The interior of the box has been professionally fitted to hold rings and other items of jewellery and the inside of the lid has been nicely gilded. This jewellery box would make an interesting addition to a Chester silver collection and would make an ideal gift. The interior lining can be removed from the silver body, which is a sign of a well made object, and it weighs 7.1 troy ounces (221 grams) without the lining.
