Chester Antique Edwardian Sterling Silver Sovereign Case – 1903

A Chester hallmarked Antique Edwardian Sterling silver Sovereign case which has a plain round body which is much heavier than normal examples. There is a push button to open the lid which reveals a spring mechanism to house the Sovereigns. There is also a ring attachment at the top so that it can be worn if so desired. This lovely silver Sovereign case would make a useful addition to a collection. It weighs 1.2 troy ounces (38 grams) and remains in excellent condition.
