Description
A pair of Chester Antique George V Sterling silver sauce boats which have oval shaped plain bodies with gadroon decoration around the top rims, leaf capped scroll handles, a good pouring spout and each resting on three hoof style feet. These silver sauce boats have been made to an extremely high standard and remain in excellent condition. One sauce boat has the maker’s mark of “Stokes & Ireland” and the other one has the maker’s mark of “S.Blanckensee & Son”, which took over the original Stokes & Ireland business. They also have the retail shop stamp of Lowe of Chester where they were sold. They would look impressive when displayed on the dining table and would be perfect to use. These sauce boats stand at 10.5 cms (4.5″) high and measure 20 cms (7.9″) in length. They weigh 23 troy ounces (718 grams).
Complimentary postage is included within the price.
