Description

A Chester hallmarked Antique Victorian Sterling and glass claret jug which has a plain silver mount with a good pouring spout, a hinged silver lid with a simple finial and an angular shaped handle which is comfortable to hold. The cutting on the bulbous shaped glass body is particularly pretty and detailed and the claret jug rests on a flat star cut base. It would make a desirable addition to a Chester silver collection as well as being practical to use and would hold a full bottle of wine comfortably.
