Description
An Antique Victorian Sterling silver photograph frame which was hallmarked in Chester and is rectangular in shape with attractive wire work decoration at the top and bottom of the plain silver body. The photograph frame stands in an upright position and the velvet back together with the easel supporting stand have been re-lined to make the overall appearance look more presentable. The silver body of the frame can be removed from the velvet back which is always the sign of superior craftsmanship. This silver frame would make an acceptable gift, a useful addition to a collection and would look attractive when displayed on a table. It stands at 20 cms (7.9″) tall and has a width of 17.2 cms (6.8″). The inner measurement is 13.6 cms (5.4″) x 9.1 cms (3.6″). It weighs 3.2 troy ounces (100 grams) without the velvet backing.
