Heavy Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Combination Sovereign/Vesta case – 1900

A heavy and plain Antique Victorian Sterling silver combination Sovereign/vesta case which has been made to a high standard and remains in excellent condition. At one end there is a push button mechanism to open the lid which reveals a spring section to house the Sovereigns and at the other end there is a tight fitting hinged lid to hold the matches. At the top there is a ring attachment so that this case can be worn if so desired. It weighs 2.1 troy ounces (67 grams) and would make a desirable addition to a collection.
