An Irish Antique Edwardian Sterling silver “Mether” which has a plain body, a wavy top edge and resting on four stylish support handles. This unusual and decorative object was originally designed as a drinking vessel and was popular in Ireland for serving mead. Today it would be equally practical to use as a vase and would look eye catching when displayed. It weighs 15.9 troy ounces (494 grams) and remains in excellent condition.
