Irish Antique George V Sterling Silver 5 Piece Tea Set – 1914(sold)

A fabulous Irish Antique George V Sterling silver five piece tea set which consists of a teapot, coffee pot/hot water pot, cream jug, sugar basin and a slop bowl. This tea set is superior in quality, design and craftmanship. Each piece has pretty patterned detailing around the top rim and wonderful pierced decoration around the pedestal foot of each item. The workmanship around the spouts of the teapot and coffee pot is particularly appealing. The hinged lids of the teapot and coffee pot have also been finished to a high standard and the tops of the finials have citrine coloured glass stones which makes them quite special. The pierced design continues below the finials which completes the overall style of this lovely tea set. It would be a pleasure to use this tea set and it would look eye catching when displayed on the table. It weighs 72 troy ounces (2,239 grams) and remains in excellent condition.
