Description

A fine pair of Scottish Antique George III Sterling silver Madeira and Port wine labels which have been elaborately designed with two naked boys, one holding a jug and bottle and the other holding a basket of flowers. There is a plain shaped section on each wine label engraved with Port and Madeira and there is a Bacchus head motif at the base profusely decorated with grapes. These Scottish silver wine labels would make useful additions to a wine label collection and would be perfect to use. They are each 3.60 cms (1.4″) high, measure 6.10 cms (2.4″) in length and weigh 1.20 troy ounces (38 grams) in total.
