Description

Twelve pairs of Scottish Antique Edwardian Sterling silver fish knives and forks which are unusual in style and fit neatly within the original box which is still in excellent condition.  The forks have plain bodies with pointed ends and  have been designed with three tines which are still long and even.  The knives also have plain bodies with pointed ends and they have flat blades which are showing very little sign of wear.  There is a crest on the front of each piece which adds to the history of this lovely set.  These silver fish knives and forks have been hallmarked in Glasgow for 1909/1910 and remain in excellent condition.  One fork must have been lost over time and has been sympathetically renewed and matches perfectly with the rest of the set.  It was hallmarked in Edinburgh for 2005 by Hamilton and Inches and now makes the set complete again.  Each knife measures 20.40 cms in length and each fork measures 18.60 cms in length.  There are twenty four pieces in total.
