Description

An Elizabeth II Sterling silver novelty condiment set which has been designed in the form of owls and consists of a mustard, salt and pepper. The quality is superb and the features on the bodies have been captured perfectly. The silver mustard pot has a hinged lid with gilded interior and the salt and pepper each have pull off lids. There is an unusual mustard spoon with a mouse at the end which completes the overall design. This fine quality set was made by Comyns of London Ltd and was sold in Hamilton & Inches in Edinburgh. The mustard pot stands at 10.4 cms (4.1″) tall and each of the salt and pepper pots stand at 7 cms (2.8″) tall. The total weight is 25.2 troy ounces (784 grams) and the condiment set sits neatly in a fitted box.
