Description

An Antique Victorian Sterling silver and glass claret jug which has a tall ovoid shaped body with attractive cut glass detailing, an ornate silver mount depicting flowers and leaves, a plain curved shaped handle which is comfortable to hold and resting on a flat star cut base. The hinged lid has similar flower and fruit decoration and the finial on the top is particularly impressive. This silver and glass claret jug is both decorative and practical and would make a useful addition to a collection. There is a crest on the front of the silver mount and it will hold 1 litre of wine. It remains in excellent condition.
